Highland Junior Golf Championship for Spey Valley
The new Spey Valley Golf Course at Aviemore, owned by Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort, is to host the fourth Highland Junior Golf Championship on Thursday 12 October.
Entry is open to 60 juniors who are 18 or under on 1 January 2006. The handicap limit for girls is 22 and for boys 18. Application forms have been sent to all secondary schools and also golf clubs. The deadline for entry, which is free, is Monday 25 September.
Willie MacKay, Highland Golf Manager, said: “We are delighted to have the courtesy of this wonderful new course for the fourth year of this event. What a fantastic opportunity for young golfers to play this challenging David Thomas-designed course.”
The championship has previously been played at Skibo (twice) and The Nairn Golf Course.
