A82 works delayed at Tomnahurich Bridge, Inverness

Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that overnight works on a new roundabout at Tomnahurich Bridge for the Inverness West Link project have been delayed.

Works are ongoing to re-establish in-bound traffic into Inverness in the near future to alleviate the existing traffic issues, and two-way traffic will be resumed around lunchtime.

The Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Diversions via General Booth Road remain in place until the road re-opens.

Pedestrian and cycle access has been maintained at all times.

The delays to works were caused by unexpected difficulties encountered during carriageway reconstruction. The Council is reviewing the programme of overnight closures to avoid any repeat of this morning’s disruption.
