Water mains upgrade Ardersier – temporary traffic restrictions
Motorists are being advised that a temporary traffic prohibition order will be in operation from Monday 6 February to Monday 22 May 2017 to enable the temporary closure of Stuart Street, Ardersier.
The order is being put in place to allow essential water mains upgrade works to be carried out on behalf of Scottish Water.
The order will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from travelling in any direction on the B9039 Newton – Castle Stuart – Ardersier Road, between its junction with the B9092 Ardersier – Nairn Road and its junction with the B9006 Millburn Roundabout – Culcabock – Castle Hill – Culloden Moor – Croy – Gollanfield – Fort George Road.
The order, which is required to enable works to proceed in a safe manner, will only affect parts of the road as indicated by appropriate traffic signs.
Vehicles employed to carry out the works, including traffic management vehicles, are exempt. Emergency services vehicles are also exempt from the order at the discretion and instruction of the contractor.
Access to properties will be controlled by the works contractor. Pedestrian access will also be maintained.
