Route Diversion - North of Fort Augustus

The normal GGW route north of Fort Augustus will be closed over the winter for essential forest harvesting work. A diversion route will have to be followed to bypass this.
- Essential forest harvesting work will be taking place on the Great Glen Way, just north of Fort Augstus.
- The work will commence on the week of the 28th of October and is expected to continue until the end of January 2025.
- During this time the normal GGW route will be closed to the public and users will have to follow a flagged diversion to bypass the work site.
- The diversion adds roughly 5.5 km (3.4 miles) of distance to this section.
- We appologise for any inconvenice caused as a result of these works.
