Guidelines for new road developments

Our  roads and transport guidelines for new developments set out the information for applications for either Planning Permission or Road Construction Consent. The guidelines include the procedures, design and construction standards to be followed for roads and other transport infrastructure that is to be adopted by us.

You should also refer to the SCOTS National Roads Development Guide.

Both of these apply to developments that either need new road networks or modifications to existing roads infrastructure.
