School Estate Management

Dunvegan Primary School

In May 2024, we approved a Highland Investment Plan (HIP) worth up to £2 billion over the next 20 years.

The HIP will see wide-ranging investment across communities in the Highlands with the condition and suitability of our school estate as one of the key drivers for improvement and change.

Community Points Of Delivery (PODs) will be places where a range of Council services, including education, could be delivered alongside other partner and community services.

Dunvegan has been identified as a priority project for HIP Phase 1, with potential delivery within five years, subject to capital funding approval.

A masterplan has been prepared for the Dunvegan campus including the development of adjacent land for housing and a site for a new community sports pitch.

A Stakeholder Group was established, and the initial meeting took place in April 2021. Minutes of all Stakeholder Group meetings and other relevant information will be shown on this page.
