Ruth & Iain Maclennan successfully applied for LEADER funding towards the cost of developing a glamping business on their working croft, sitting on the hillside just north of Ullapool. The grant will be used to deliver two high-spec glamping pods with stunning views over the village and Lochbroom, and a laundry/utility shed for changeover activity. The funding will create accommodation space along the popular NC500 route, which has suffered from a lack of provision in relation to the increased visitor numbers in recent years, and will provide a welcome additional revenue stream for this family owned croft.
