Overview

LEADER has awarded the Russian Arctic Convoy Project funds to purchase the building they currently occupy, with a view to redevelop and improve the facility. The museum exists to educate people on the history of the Russian Arctic Convoy and its relevance to, and effect on, the local area throughout WWII. The purchase will help to secure the long-term viability of this important heritage site, with future expansions forecasted to increase visitor numbers and create employment.
