4. Gaelic and Culture Update

The Committee is invited to agree:-

i. that Officers continue to liaise with Bòrd na Gàidhlig in relation the actions required in order to ensure that the Draft Gaelic Language Plan 3  fulfils their requirements;
ii. to support the Gaelic Language Act Implementation Fund submissions; and
iii. that the Chair of the Gaelic Implementation Group, with support from Officers, lead and support the 40th Celtic Media Festival when it is based in Aviemore in the late Spring/early Summer 2019.

This can be achieved within existing resources although should Members decide to accelerate participation in UBI research at some point in the future then resource implications will need to be reviewed.
