Mental Health Awareness
Looking after your Mental Health at work.
Monday 14 to Sunday 20 May, is Mental Health Awareness Week 2018 – the focus this year is on stress and mentally healthy workplaces.
For us to maintain our wellbeing, noticing what’s making us stressed helps us learn how we can deal with it. This is particularly important in the workplace where stresses of workload and working relationships are common. In fact, work can be one of the biggest causes of stress in people’s lives, more so than debt or financial problems. (Mind, 2013)
There are a number of ways you can help yourself feel less stressed and how to get support.
Information can also be found on the Council’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Toolkit on the Intranet.
