Road and footway orders

Update July 2017

We have now served the final notices for the following Road Traffic Orders made under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.  Notices of these made orders were published in the 21st July 2017 edition of the Edinburgh Gazette and the Inverness Courier and refer to the following;

1. The Highland Council (Proposed West Link Road (A8082), Stage 1 - Private Means of Access From Bught Road (U3823) and Ness-Side Road (U2238), Inverness) (Stopping Up of Accesses) Order 2014

Update December 2015

Following the publication of the road and footway orders, we received a number of objections.  A Hearing was heldin June by an independent reporter.  Following the Reporter’s recommendations Ministers approved the Orders in  August 2015.

Update December 2014

The Highland Council (West Link Road (A6128), Stage 1 - Various Footpaths, Inverness) (Stopping Up) Order 2014 has now been made.

This made order, accompanying plan and statement of our reasons for making the order are provided to allow you to submit any representations orobjections you may have. Submissions for all representations or objections on the above footpath were requested in writing, by Friday 16 January 2015 to Mr Jim Smith at the address shown below.
